You may recall that I wrote about the Muxtape service back in April. That streaming audio service got shut down by The Man, but it hardly comes as a surprise that replacements would come along.
A friend recommended I check out 8tracks as an alternative. It has some differences that purportedly allow it to be “more” legal. Muxtape let me upload 12 tracks; 8tracks limits me to eight. 8tracks also allows no more than two tracks by the same artist.
Anyway, I thought I’d test it out by putting up a mix of Nineties French hip-hop. If you’re curious, French hip-hop of that period sounds a lot like American hip-hop of the time. Don’t consider this a definitive look, just a mix of a few favorite tracks.
