“Oh, Billy Mitchell always has a plan.”

My pal Dave has sent me a note about a new documentary that’s out right now.

Not sure if this is playing near you, but do yourself a favor and RUN – don’t walk – to see King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters.

Like all the best documentaries, the director/producer/etc. – Seth Gordon – found a GREAT story with GREAT characters. Obviously part of that is luck, but it’s so well put together that Seth Gordon clearly knew what he was doing.

It’s cliche, I know, but you could not write these guys. Well, and if you could, they’d be fictional, and not as fascinating.

Don’t cheat yourself by waiting for home video, this movie NEEDS an audience to relish in its full genius.

Back in 1984, during the height of popularity for video game arcades, I used to watch Dave play games like Dragon’s Lair. There was entertainment value in watching him play; if I played a video game, I got killed quickly and then ran out of quarters.

Anyway, I had heard something about this new movie and it does sound really interesting. Check out the trailer.
