At this stage. you’re probably sick of this topic already. It goes on and on and the damn festival‘s been over for more than two weeks. But I saw a lot of great documentaries and I was determined to write something about each and every one.
Let this entry serve as an index to all the films. Some of them have distribution deals and might be appearing at a theater near you later this year. Some will be coming out on DVD shortly. Others may take their time to appear. You should seek them out; you will not be disappointed.

I was able to talk to some of the filmmakers during the festival (such as in this post) and it was very interesting to discuss their films in detail. For example, I went to the closing party (pictured below) and accidentally ran into Doug Pray. We ate breakfast at 1:00 a.m. and talked at length about AJ Schnack’s film Kurt Cobain About a Son. I got to tell Pray earlier in the week about how much I admired his film Hype! You wouldn’t think it would be worth seeing a documentary about the Seattle grunge scene after all these years, but what that movie is really about is all hyped genres and scenes in the music industry. It’s like a case study in commercialized hysteria.
Anyway, great festival. Done writing about it. Normal posting will resume.
