I meant to post this link last week, but I just never got around to it. The first single from Paris Hilton’s upcoming album leaked and — much to my shock — it’s not terrible. Mind you, it’s just fluffy pop, but if you heard it on the radio, you’d never think it was Her Shaggerrificness. The vocals are breathy and undoubtedly feature heavy use of Auto-Tune, but are no worse than most of the stuff on the pop charts.
The first review I read compared it to Patsy Kensit’s vocals on Eighth Wonder’s “I’m Not Scared,” and that’s about right (See that video here).
